An opinion piece on the Lyft/Uber situation in California... (Note, freelance writers have been shut out by many companies because of the law, and are hoping the state lawmakers tweak it to make the criteria a bit more clear) Uber and Lyft had time to comply with the law. They did not. They simply refuse to reclassify their drivers as employees. engadget.com
