Self-driving car start-up Luminar to go public in $3.4 billion merger with blank-check company Luminar, a start-up that makes guidance technology for self-driving vehicles, is going public through a SPAC. Steve Girsky, VectoIQ managing partner, Nikola board member and former GM vice chairman, joins “Squawk Box” to discuss. **Girsky said during the "Squawk Box" interview this morning that Luminar's move signals a "broadening out of the investments in this space" which will include infrastructure and component companies. cnbc.com
