Syncronys Softcorp Enters OEM Market;Retains Leading Marketing Firm For Aggressive OEM Launch

CULVER CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--January 29, 1998-- Syncronys Softcorp SYCR , a leading developer of utility software, today announced that it has retained one of the industry's leading OEM rep firms to aggressively market and distribute Syncronys' utility software in the lucrative OEM marketplace.

The agreement with Stone Temple Consulting, Inc. is an important component of the Company's strategy to leverage its growing base of software technology into incremental sales revenues through OEM, as well as new foreign, direct, electronic and corporate sales channels.

Eric Enge, president of Southborough, Massachusetts-based Stone Temple, is widely recognized as a leader in the OEM marketing field. Prior to founding Stone Temple, Enge served as a senior manager for ten years at San Jose, California-based Phoenix Technologies, where he was responsible for developing America Online's initial penetration into the OEM channel and played a key role in implementing that company's successful worldwide OEM strategy. He has pioneered the bounty model in the OEM business and in the past year alone, Stone Temple has closed numerous major OEM deals on behalf of its clientele with OEM companies including Compaq, Askey, and Zoom.
