Good Morning Paddy O'Milton,

A Potato head huh ?
Just a quick note on these new hires. I am trying to verify this story but at this point, I doubt seriously if Trinity is able or willing to bring in 100 new personnel in one batch. Marketing dept has been on board in Europe for over one year... Reid...Shirley..Damion Bond ) plus they just hired Marketing gal from Sigma for the Americas. At this time they obviously have a very strong projection of fiscal 98 and 99 business opportunities world- wide since they are in contact with over 65 distributors. They are looking for a new larger facility which now appears to be three times the floor space which they presently occupy in Sandyford.

Salaries.......when I visited Dublin last year that was one of my first questions. Production workers base salary is about $ 20,000 to $ 25,000 but we must remember the Irish govt grants very generous wage subsidies (grants ) for all new hires. In the past these wage subsidies were very generous ( $ 22,000 ) With these subsidies in place it is quite obvious why Trinity decided to pick up everything from Irvine, CA ( DDI) and moved lock stock and barrel over to the Olde Sod.

Hope this sheds some light....
