This should help get them kick started; Larson-Davis Appoints Former Vice President Of Thermo Subsidiary as Chief Operating Officer
PROVO, Utah, Jan. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Larson-Davis Inc. (Nasdaq: LDII) announced today the appointment of Mr. Jeffrey Cohen to the position of COO. Mr. Cohen was formerly a Vice President at Orion Research, Inc., a subsidiary of Thermedics Inc., a Thermo Electron company. Orion is a manufacturer of precision instrumentation for the analytical chemistry industry.

With the imminent launch of Jaguar and SFC, my short-term focus will be on ensuring that these products are well received."

This rollout needs to be effectively managed and coordinated. In addition, we will begin the process of gearing up our manufacturing operations in anticipation of growth arising from the launch."
The Company is also committed to the development of the particle analysis and CrossCheck technologies after the launch of its Jaguar and SFC products. These activities will now be accelerated, providing the Company with new product launches projected in 1999. These projects and other derivative products will allow the momentum, anticipated to begin in mid-1998, to continue into next year and the coming years.

Mr. Cohen holds a BS in microbiology, an MS in computer engineering, and an MBA. He has worked in a variety of industries over the past fifteen years, gaining managerial experience in engineering operations, sales, and marketing. He will be joining the Company effective February 2, 1998. |
