My experience of kindergarten, school and university was that they were and are nearly useless for learning useful things. In fact, for a month or two I was our class maths teacher as they were short staffed and our form teacher Miss Dent could not do maths. So I would read the text book in the afternoon/evening for an hour or so, then next day teach the class while Miss Dent sat at her desk.

With mobile Cyberspace, children don't need information on paper or blackboard. Want to be an engineer? Click here and follow the chain of knowledge. Pass the tests enroute. Cost = $1 per day. No bankrupting student loan necessary.

Schools are mainly cages to keep children out of neighbours' apple trees, carrot crops, abandoned dairy factory, construction sites, harbours and all other more interesting places. Even libraries (where I found more interesting books than at primary school).

I wish covid had been rampant during my school days.
