That was fun. Thanks. A bit early for that level of esoteria. I of course have no idea what he is talking about, although I read it all.

In the end the author said Wolfe was too simplistic and that neither Chomsky or Wolfe had the whole idea worked out.

I love both Wolfe and Chomsky. I read a lot of Wolfe when young. I do agree with Chomsky on the video I posted.

My favorite of Wolf's books was "the Electric Cool Aid Acid test."

I knew some people who knew that group. It was early in the Hippie days.

We had a bus like theirs that we took kids to the High Sierra to teach climbing with the Alum Rock Youth Institute. It was a work study program and I had so much fun in those days. I worked with a bunch of Hippie rock climbers and we took kids into the high Sierra and they paid me-lol.

My favorite quote from Tom Wolfe was about Marshall Mcluhan: "He hits very large nails not quite on the head"-lol.

Wolfe apparently likes tussling with the world's intellectual giants-lol!
