Jess, I agree with your outlook completely but how about if I give you some bullish sentiments.

US, via 401s and general economic strengths in the last couple of years, are finally starting to show signs of personal savings. The baby boomers are finally stashing away some funds for retirement. As this trend continues, there are simply no place to "invest" except the market. Simple demand/supply equation is driving the market higher.

In a way, it is similar to the Japanese stock market before it finally came down. Too much money chasing too few stocks resulting in exuberant valuation of triple digit PEs. HK is similar in a way. ML just dropped semi-eq growth dn 5% to the 0%-5% range this yr. Every earnings report for semi-eq companies talk about some Asia impact, some more pessimistically than others. Yet, the sector seems to be holding and going up in many cases. As long as the funds keep coming in, the market is going to be artificially propped up.

The question is do you want to be out and miss the rally, or do you want to be in and chance a big correction? Answer from anyone with crystal ball appreciated.

Ramsey
