I will take this thread any day of the week over any of the left/right wing threads on SI. First of all, you can speak your mind here without getting banned. Secondly, if you are critically minded, you will get banned if you criticize the modus operandi of the left/right wing threads. Criticizing Trump gets you banned immediately from Honey Bee. And G-d forbid you criticize any aspect of the DNC platform, you get banned by Epicure, who has 98 bans on her thread. That doesn't seem to bother you as you watch what you say. I got banned by Cautious Optimist by questioning free choice in regard to abortion, since I am personally opposed to it. But all this does not bother you, or you overlook it.

I think the dialogue is better on this thread - though it is more crude and hardcore. If your idea of political dialogue is to have everyone agree with each other, then I suppose you should go with Epicure, Cautious Optimist, Honey Bee or GZ. But Epicure is by far the worst with close to 100 bans.

It takes a little getting use to the crude way people treat each other here, but that's going to happen when you have real intense political dialogue with people from both sides of the political spectrum.
