I don't know anyone who's beats his wife so your question is irrelevant.
So you're running away from what you said. Got it.

To answer your question, a rapist wouldn't need to tell the victim his name because more often than not, they already know each other.

Especially in the "domestic abuse" situation, which you brought up but later ran away from.
