I retired and didn't want to pay the high tax rate anymore. To do so, would have drained my capital unnecessarily. Little did I know that I would be making more as a swing trader than as an entrepreneur. Nevada is as blue as Oregon nowadays. And it is still a tax free state with the Dems in charge for the past 4 years in the State Legislature. Wonder how they can pull that off? Very easy. Nevada has the worst educational system in the USA and the lowest wage growth to boot. The moral of the story is if you spend the bare minimum, there is no need to tax and your citizens will remain clueless for the most part with them thinking "it is what it is. " As for income inequality, that will rectify itself during the next secular bear market. But capital will always outperform labor as capital, if invested properly, grows exponentially while labor grows only linearly if not invested.
