My comment was with respect to rates of infection.
Pandemics are well understood by top epidemiologists even though no two are exactly the same.
Lockdowns cause more harm than good - save a few people at the expense of tens of millions who are impoverished or affected by a severe restriction on health services.

Everyone I know in favor of lockdowns has experienced minimal economic or health effects.

Sweden was right to keep the economy open, though they did screw up with nursing homes - same as many other parts of the world. How many needlessly died in New York because the elderly were not protected?
Add Ontario and Quebec to that list.
All elementary schools remained open in Sweden, how many children died?
ZERO

Meanwhile. many U.S. pediatricians are speaking out, claiming that closing schools caused / is causing significant mental health issues for large numbers of children.
And depression affects others as well - recent survey, 25% of young adults replied that they seriously considered suicide within the past few months.

How many will die within the next year because their cancer screening was delayed by 6 months?

In a pandemic, best practice is to quarantine the infected and the most vulnerable; you don't quarantine the entire population.
