Daniel, I'm glad you brought up the Warren Report, a huge civic disservice. It made cynics of almost everyone, and now it is diffucult to believe what our government tells us.
It seems hard to believe that most presidents, or the DNC, would simply have people offed if their power was threatened. From what I know of Vince Foster he had more common decency, and higher moral standards, than the people around him. I guess that made him vulnerable.
One of the pretty much untold stories of the Whitewater investigation is that of Susan McDougal, who has been in jail for a year-and-a-half because she refuses to testify. Is that because she was Billy's lover, or do you have any idea what the real story is?
Do you write prose? From what you said earlier, I had a mental image of you with a drawer full of manuscript and rejection notices. The process of gettting published seems brutal. When my child is grown and I no longer have so much to do, I would love to take some courses specifically on writing poetry. Hopefully, the wisdom of age will make my writing better, but the enthusiasm and general hormonal spewing off of youth is what makes the images so exciting. Poems about creaking, disintegrating bodies are not quite so interesting!! |
