Eventually I plan to have a large-ish (15-20 TB) Synology RAID 6 or RAID 10 array because I want to have a double redundant setup so I don't have to worry about a back up system, it'll be built-in.

I decided after a few months, I honestly didn't need to mirror my drive and instead save to use the extra drive for future replacement.

I have tons of Blu Ray MKV files and still have a lot of space. I even had a few 4K movies and they are 50 gig a piece I reached a point where rather than buying a bigger drive I am determined to delete a few large files instead. You don't need everything digitized.

With my back-up software it automatically determines what has been changed and just updates the changes. So maybe once every few months I do a backup which takes about 20 mins and then I am done.

The reason I want so much space is I have a large number of Blu-ray disks and I want to convert them to MKV format. Those files are 20-40 GB each, so you can imagine the space they'll take up.

I expect that is more storage than you really need, unless you have a TON of media it is likely overkill.

I use Qnap and I am extremely happy with their technical support. Always there when I have a question.
