The use of 0.25-micron process technology on 8-inch wafers can boost to about 1,000 the number of 16-Mbit raw dice per wafer, compared with about 400 dice with the earlier 0.4- or 0.5-micron process. Processing costs remain roughly the same, at about $1,600 to $1,800 per wafer. RR Maybe some can do some costs based on a more stable cost to do one 8 inch waffer ! example: At .25u $1800/1000 = $1.80 At .4 .5u $1800/400 = $4.50 Larry Dudash
