Hi Don,

True that. SSDs are great for eliminating noise. Putting one in old MacBooks has also helped me and several family members extend the life and reliability of those laptops.

I plan to do the flash memory upgrade to an old Gen 5 iPod when I get the chance, just as a hobby project.
