She was a marvelous actress. Aside from The Avengers (of course!) I remember most vividly her gripping performance in "Mother Love", a TV mini-series on PBS. She scared the crap out of me. I also remember at least one close up shot in that show where her hair was slicked back and you could see every wrinkle. Not many actresses brave enough for that.
