It has been used to justify the fake news from CNN. It has been used to justify the bullying of a teenager wearing a MAGA hat, and even the blatant assault of a 7-year-old who did likewise. It has been used to excuse BLM-related riots, looting, violence, vandalism, lawlessness, and even murders. "hoW coulD thiS bE happeninG iN trump'S americA?" It has been used to attack small business owners like the hair salon lady in San Francisco or a former Chinese spa owner in Florida. It has been used to excuse their own racism, sexism, and homophobia. "iT isn'T bigotrY wheN useD againsT a bigoT!"
