Who knows how many birds, squirrels, raccoons, opossums
and deer it has fed over the years.... plus absorption of CO2
and exhaling oxygen.

i like that thought.

in the seventies we purchased an old brick farmhouse
in rural ontario which was built in the mid 1800’s. it had
a long driveway lined with huge old sugar maples.
i like to think they were as old as the house. we used to
tap them in the spring.

the fall colours were exquisite.
