This 'NFC East' Subject Board and the 'Football Forum (NFL)' ... I've been rather neglectful of this board for the last 2 seasons, reading and posting instead to the considerably more popular 'Football Forum (NFL)' board where I'll continue to participate. I will however, pay somewhat more attention to this board, this season. I just submitted this slightly edited post to the 'Football Forum (NFL)' ... Dedicating the NFL 2020 Season to JakeStraw .... JakeStraw was the congenial host who founded this early SI "Pastime' Subject Board 24 years ago this month, well before 'Politics' boards flourished on SI and Advanced Micro Devices became one. Jake's last post to that board was made in late January and his last to SI on Valentine Day this year, I am hopeful that Jake will reappear but I am fearful that he will not. Regardless, he has my best wishes. I'm very appreciative of the fact that Jake attempted to keep focus on football and sport rather than politics with posts like these: "Please keep the posts a little more directly related to sports... Politics really don't belong here. Thanks" or "Please NO politics!!." To most board participants credit there was generally reasonable compliance with those requests. # # # - Eric L -
