LOR which contract? Is that the Astrolink program? I got more info. They did not lose a pre-existing contract, but lost a contract that they were bidding for in partnership with Lockheed, 3 GOES satellites. Contract awarded to Hughes. Loral Space is undergoing re-org with possible layoffs because they apparently began ramping up in expectation of winning this contract. I guess more info is available at www.spacenews.com, but "Today's Stories" section is member only so I can't access it. If you have any background on this project, I'd love to hear about it.
