Besides, Mr. Buffett has made an enormously successful investment in Coke when it was undergoing a transformation similar to what MCD is undergoing right now (slowing domestic growth, coupled with a change in emphasis from US to international markets).

Also, I would say that as a business, MCD is more similar to Coke than it is to any airline business, and Mr. Buffett is likely to have analyzed this industry much better than he did with the airline industry.
