i've been looking for a way to reach my democratic friends with how i see their position over the last 3.5 years--reason just dosent work--i feel i have to resort to a hypothetical, along these lines

senator jones is running for president against incumbent president himmelschmidt

jones accuses himmelschmidt of lying about the number of supporting letters he has received

himmelschmidt stands by his claim

Jones' supporters drag himmelschmidt's 3 year old daughter into the chamber and he smashes her fingers with a hammer

himmelschmidt cries out 'you were right- i exaggerated the amount"

jones then declares to the world, 'ladies and gentlemen, you see before you an admitted liar, a perjuror!"

the next day is election day
