Software for cloud computing sounds like an awesome spot to invest, though.

Way better than "Zoom home video conferencing" if you ask me. Snowflake employees spend years and years building a great product and company, and a huge chunk of today's share price profits go to people who invested in Snowflake in the past 24 hours rather than to the company's balance sheet. That sucks.

The price pop indicates a major problem with the IPO process. I don't see why all IPO's don't use a Dutch auction, similar to what Google did when it IPOed years ago.
