Hello Chuck: Winspear has not released officially in any press release
the word "Fancy". And rightfully so., it would at this stage of exploration to be presumptious to state such due to the small size
of the stones from the dykes and the limited sampling.
However if one goes back to the Jul 14 97 press release., where
the stones were reported. Quite a few things can be concluded.,
and that is the high macro/micro ratios would indicate larger stones
should be found. Secondly with 87.8 transparency indicates that
if larger stones are found they should be of gem quality. The fact
these stones were subjected to Raman spectrometry at Surface
Science in W. Ontario., verified by Lakefield Research and Winspears Senior Minerologist., who I believe is Anne E. Hall.,
would lend substantial credibility to the thought that these stones
could be a precursor to larger and very valuable stones. The bulk
sample will tell all.
