*** NEWS RELEASE *** Canada Stockwatch Westrend Natural Gas Inc - $600,000 received from warrants exercised; 72.5% equity interest in Taylor Rigs Westrend Natural Gas Inc WRN Shares issued 18885569 1998-01-28 close $0.75 Thursday Jan 29 1998 Mr Mark Roberts reports Westrend has recently received payment of C$600,000 in exercise of all of the outstanding warrants in connection with the special warrant private placement that closed on January 22 1997. Further, Westrend has recently paid Taylor International, Inc in full in exercise of the option whereby Westrend now holds a 72.5% equity interest in Taylor Rigs, LLC. Oscar Taylor, the president of Taylor Rigs, and his son Brett Taylor own the remaining equity in Taylor Rigs. The directors of Taylor Rigs are now Mark Roberts and Oscar Taylor.
