For many Americans a child joining the military is a part of their life.
For young people the recruitment office is an honourable choice.
The American military isn't an afterthought, it makes America possible in a hostile world.
As desirable as a future without war is, it is a future, we still need armies today.
America has enemies, not the Mexicans, but real enemies, offering bounties on soldiers.
Some people do not acknowledge the need for soldiers, they scorn the military and military service.
While your kids go to the recruitment office, their families pay to make sure their kids are deemed unfit.
So who is right, are all those who choose country and military service "losers".
Anyone can pay for bonespurs but most Americans do not.
Anyone can pretend America's enemies do not exist, but most American do not.
The tide of immigrants that want to live like Americans are not wrong, nor are they enemies.
Soldiers really are not losers, regardless of what anyone says, that is my opinion. |
