Show me the clause in the constitution that says the senate MUST confirm the president's nominee.

You can't. It says a president shall nominate (which Obama did). But to appoint, he must obtain the consent of the senate. Obama failed to get that in 2016 with Garland.

All constitutional.

Had Obama nominated a Gorsuch or a Kavanaugh, he would have received the consent of the senate.
