Further clarification or update. I think the most extreme lockdowns were probably always mistakes (although to the extent an area had a realistic fear of the disease overwhelming hospitals a relatively tough but also relatively short lock down may have made sense for just those areas. But extreme lockdowns persisting today, like what they have in Victoria Australia, are not good. I can see not having stadiums and arenas packed with people but generally everything has to open up.
