| | | Tom, The Death Of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg Pushed Me To Join The Satanic Temple I've seen this sentiment before. The Satanic Temple promises freedom and claims to stand up for justice, reason, and empathy. They claim that the devil is merely a symbol of rebellion, and that they don't really worship any supernatural being.
It's complete bullshit, of course. Even the notion that Satan is merely a symbol of rebellion is a carefully crafted lie from the Father of Lies himself.
For example, if the modern day "Satanist" believes in justice, reason, and empathy, then that person believes in a system of values. Who are they to speak up when someone rebels against those values? Isn't rebellion what being a Satanist is all about?
I keep talking about postmodernism on this thread, which often causes eyes to roll, but I can't emphasize enough how postmodernism, or the notion that truth is relative, permeates throughout all of society these days. It's what leads to bullshit like "Satan is good" or "Satan is freedom." You might as well jump off a cliff thinking that you can break the law of gravity.
