I just sold a rental property that I have held for 30 years. You really don't want to do that if taxes drive your decision. Uncle Trump recaptures depreciation. Then there is the Capital Gains. You really want to pass it on or do a 1031 exchange. I chose to exit the Landlord Biz. Many do not.
