Option commission is higher for me too, and the spread stinks, but IF I'm right I can make up for it, and tie up less capital. Bigger ouch when wrong though..... I've been setting targets for the index and guestimating a target for the option based on that, putting in a limit order, then letting it trade up or down into my price. I don't have real-time quotes for options, so I don't really know if I'm getting good fills. Most of my effort up until now has been towards getting the price direction right, just starting to work on better trading tactics. CL
