Biden, Harris release 2019 tax returns ahead of first presidential debate

Biden and Harris on Tuesday released their 2019 tax returns, hours before Biden and Trump take the stage at their first presidential debate.

The Biden campaign posted the returns on its website Tuesday afternoon. The returns show that Joe and Jill Biden had an adjusted gross income of $985,233 in 2019 and paid a total of $299,346 in federal income taxes that year. Harris and her husband, lawyer Doug Emhoff, had an adjusted gross income of $3,095,590 and paid $1,185,628 in federal income taxes in 2019, according to their tax returns.
