Tim A.******kinda off topic: LOR and SEA Thing*******

I think this is where Ramsey's "academic" analysis gets very real. Bangkok and Indonesia order $400MM worth of birds from SSL, can't pay the freight, and 300 highly skilled technicians and engineers down in Palo Alto just got pink slips. Yesterday GLW, today LOR, tomorrow...? No folks, SEA is a long way from over.
The contrarian notion is that this is a tremendous opportunity for cash rich firms in Europe, America, and Taiwan. What if LOR can leverage what are obviously huge cancellation penalties into ownership of the systems? Can GLW cheaply increase fiber manufacturing capacity from its Asian-JV partners? Not too difficult to see that a ton of assets are available at fire-sale prices. The poker game has just begun. Mike Doyle
