Let me try this from a different perspective. Let's say a cop is drinking on the job. He chases a drug dealer and catches him. The drug dealer says he shouldn't be charged because the cop was drunk. Is the drug dealer innocent?

It doesn't matter what anyone said or did. This isn't about them. This is about a man who lied to the FBI while he was in the White House.
