And the man who married your father's sister (making him and uncle) could have nieces and nephews of his own who would be your cousins-in-law. Why that is of no matter, I suspect, has to do with laws of inheritance. In this regard, someone who is really an uncle-in-law may have some standing, when cousins-in-law would not (in the absence of other heirs or a will, of course).
