This is a DISASTER for Cybermedia.

Sales for the September quarter were $23M and only $19M for the December quarter.

The Christmas quarter should be their STRONGEST quarter and they show a sequential decline of $4M. (OK, so they said they set aside $4M for reserves because of their concern for Day Sales Outstanding.)

Increased competition is part of the culprit, but people are beginning to realize that this kind of software doesn't work, or it provides almost no value.

Those who WOULD have an interest in this software have, for the most part, already tried it and quickly concluded that it fails BIG-TIME in delivering its promises.

So, who are they going to sell their junk to now?

I expect to see a further decline in sales next quarter. Very hard times ahead for Cybermedia. I wouldn't be surprised to see between $5 and $7 a share tomorrow.
