I've been in the market for 60 years, ekimaa, and my views are somewhat different. I've never been able to be certain. Sort of getting better at that. More certain I've become about a stock(company), more money I'm now willing to plunk down at one time and in total. "The market can be wrong longer than I can be right." :) Yes. A big learning for me as well. Similarly, another learning for me is: "There is no such thing as a no-brainer" -- anything can go wrong to screw up what looks (even after researching) like obvious buy.
