He (everybody in the OR) wore a mask to protect the patient. It worked. Drs, RNs, RTs, and I wore them around patients in respiratory isolation to protect ourselves. It worked.

"you told me that you had to wear a mask in your job and it was all hunky dory."
We didn't need them all the time. Most patients and staff weren't considered to be possible plague-carriers.
