I hate to resort to ad hominem attacks, but the AAPS is a fringe organization. For example, they are anti-vaxxers: DOCTORS’ GROUP VOTES TO OPPOSE VACCINE MANDATES

Wikipedia lists them as a "conservative non-profit advocacy group": en.wikipedia.org

The CDC reviewed dozens of studies on face masks and currently recommend them in slowing the transmission of COVID-19: cdc.gov

And the negative effects of wearing face masks are widely overblown by the anti-maskers. Health care professionals, like doctors and nurses, certainly don't suffer organ damage from oxygen deprivation.

This is the "post-truth world" that we live in these days, where you can just focus on "studies" that support your own prejudices while ignoring other studies that are too inconvenient for you to look at.
