Hi I am new to this Thread!. I got in today at 123. I am working for a Small/Medium business company and we are in the process of deciding a ERP packages. I am currently evaluting SAP, PeopleSoft, BAAN and ORACLE Financials. One of the main consideration is support for e-commerce and e-business. Here is what my observation about SAP.

* Their Software cost is cheaper than others
* Their implementation cost is very high (Consultant Supply/Demand)
* When it comes to functionality no other packages support like SAP.
(Only SAP meet one of our key requirement!)
* Very strong on Sales and Distribution areas.
* Wide variety of business solution, next is Oracle Financials.
* Good Internet interface, less tuning required when compared to other package
* It allows to interface with software written based on COM/DCOM and allows to link with external in-house/ third party packages

I think SAP will be a excellent investment beyond 2000. PE should not matter as their growth potential is very good.

I have a silly question. Why SAPHY is priced at $125 when SAP at Germany is DM669. Can some body answer(ibexx please).

Thanks

Kalyan
