Bill, There have been rumors floating around that Apple is interested in using the Merced chip. Since this chip has a different architecture than Pentiums, everyone will be forced to upgrade software for it. Seems likely that if Apple is thinking about using Intel chips this would be a good time to jump ship. The rumors also put pressure IBM, which is good for Apples position. Don't forget the copper chips are just around the corner. And Rhapsody will run on multiple systems, in one form or another. The future is fuzzy. Big players hold secrets. Doren
