Dave, you may wish to consider doing a scan once a week on weekends, to cut your database down to say, 1000-2000 tickers, and move these over to Metastock. Then each night, quotes plus will automatically update this file in Metastock. Then, you can do all sorts of scans on this smaller database in Metastock, with each scan taking 1-5 minutes. I tend to focus on stocks under $31, and as I mentioned yesterday, currently have a database of 1200 stocks above their 200 day moving average with avg volume > 30,000 shares (over the last 90 days).
