I have zero desire to turn this thread into yet another political thread. So, let's make this the last political comment, shall we?

These industries did nothing to deserve being devastated by a virus foisted on them by China....

First of all, there are plenty of countries like Vietnam, Taiwan, New Zealand, Japan, Germany, and more that haven't gotten "devastated" by this virus. Indeed, Germany, with a population of well over 80 million people, is worrying because they reported slightly more than 2400 cases a couple of days ago while Florida with a population of somewhat more than 22 million just reported 5,500 cases. The first three countries named above have far more interaction with China than the US but have collectively reported even fewer new cases in the past week than were reported at the White House. Vietnam--2, Taiwan--2, New Zealand--1, White House--34.

Second of all, if you use that logic, then you should be in favor of every industry being bailed out by the government. They have all been "devastated" by the way the virus has been dealt with.

You can comment on this post if you like and I will hold my fire. But no more slipping in politics on this thread. Got it?
