Apache is a fairly large and significant oil producer which makes me wonder why there are no posts on this board for the last 8 years. I guess posters must be active in other places. Yet, SI (along with Investor Village)are my preferred posting locations.

Alpine High was big news not so long ago, and then the find off Guyana just this summer are both significant items it seems to me. And what really spiked my interest today is that my neighbor was called back to consult on a couple of frac jobs in the Bakken--wells, which he tells me were just recently drilled. I should have payed more attention to how many he'll actually be working on, but he said they've been drilling all year and have, I think he said 2 crews working.

That all is a surprise since I had been assuming the whole field had been pretty much shut down for new exploration--well, not really exploration, but development. Last time I drove by that way was a year and a quarter ago and it was fairly busy at that time with quite a few flares at wells which were ahead of the ability to provide gas piping. That was north of the Missouri river reservoir.

Given the way SI works, I imagine this message will show up and surprise anyone who has owned the stock and left the board on their subject list.

Anyone there?
