I have some thoughts. He is the only one of the above who is more skilled at being a "master politician" (psychopathic character disorder)than Mr. Clinton - Saddam therefor becomes the most powerful personification of evil and has to be vanquished by Mr. Clinton.
It's like watching gunfighters from the Old West who had to go up against the fastest draw in town. Only when these two guys (Sadam and Wild Bill) draw their guns, they will be loaded with anthrax and radiation and the world is Main Street. (Maybe I see this movie 'cause my mom was born and raised in a lawless mining town in the Colorado Rockies and has told me about the drunk cowboys and miners shooting it out in town.)
So we have the choice between following the path of power of the illusion creators or the path of love(not emotion) of the truth seekers. This is continually being enacted for us on a personal and global scale so that hopefully some day as individuals (won't happen as a collective) we discover what a very wise soul was saying 2,000 years ago. To poorly paraphrase him: "My father is *nothing* but love" and you are to "love your enemy rather than kill him". He didn't say that because he was a flamming whimp, he said it because he saw that until we sheep of the flock realize this principle we have to stay in the domain of and be subject to the laws of the God of Job (vindictive, arbitrary, demands to be worshipped, and at any time will visit upon his best servant(Job)cruel and unusual punishment).
Anybody notice that the God of the Old Testament is not the same as the one of the New. A "God-fearin'" Christian is an oxymoron (maybe just a moron <g>, sorry) because he missed the whole message that Jesus delivered - why would you need to fear an all-loving God.
In a few weeks when we attack Saddam we will spin the wheel of destruction (in the ancient "eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth" way) once more and then as a society will disown responsibility for our destruction when it returns to us via the mechanical laws physics = cause and effect (spiritual law = karma), through terrorists and natural disasters.
For all those who have read this far and are pissed at me for this off-topic ranting - THIS IS TOTALLY ABOUT GOLD - and why gold will never become irrelevant and will always hold a supreme place in the psyche of the human animal. As far back as you can find in history it has held a magical and transcendant quality (read some alchemy) - because it is not just a commodity metal - in a world of metals (people) that break instead of bending and tarnish (become "corrupt" by oxidation)there is a shiney, golden, malleable metal that doesn't become corrupt - gold is a unconscious symbol for the soul of man.
Is it any surprise that the power brokers and illusion creators of the world don't want us to put value in or possess gold? Maybe something spiritual going on here, too.
