Thanks again - I'm actually a little bit less confused than I was earlier. I'm just trying to think like a sound consumer - which companies are in the business of making the music that I listen to over the internet sound more like what I listen to over my stereos? Does my soundcard (in my case an Ensoniq) have anything to do with that sound quality or is there something totally unrelated affecting that? ( I know I sound hopelessly ignorant, but I suspect that most of the folks who will spend billions of dollars over the next couple years on computer multi-media applications know even less than I do). thanks
