The Hunter Biden laptop debacle is still unfolding...

"Development" versus "hard news" is a proper perception built into your question... as it is not one or the other... but is some of both... making it harder to sort out... and, harder still as many will attempt to prevent success in the effort.

There are a couple of officially "verified" elements that are "news fact", though...

The FBI has confirmed that they have control of the laptop... and that it is Hunter Biden's. It was previously reported that the FBI took it under a subpoena issued by a Grand Jury. News this evening, confirms that, but also has the FBI stating that the issue that is under investigation by the Grand Jury is "money laundering".

The DNI has confirmed that there is no reasonable suspicion that the laptop and its content are anything other than authentic.

Independent journalists have independently confirmed that it "cannot" be anything other than authentic.

Other corroboration is not hard to find. Two of Biden's business partners are already in jail, or headed there, and they have been "flipped": they've provided direct access to their own communications... that fully validates the information obtained from Biden's computer... and adds to it...

The handling of news... by news organizations refusing to report it... ? The attempt by some to censor the speech of government officials discussing government efforts in law enforcement ?

Pass the popcorn....
