I haven't, thanks for that Dracin. I will watch it.
I loved the one comment where a person asks:" how can a person get strong as an OX without eating meat"? And the guy says:"have you ever seen an ox eat meat"?-lol.
Nutrition is a very complicated subject as there are thousands of variables, but the one thing that is pretty well agreed upon is the importance of lots of veggies, a plant based diet.
Put simply a high meat diet causes cancer and a lot of veggies prevents cancer. This much they are pretty sure of. .
But they have no idea what happens at the genetic and molecular level, especially the synergistic interactions as one is talking about thousands of variables.
When I cook, i put a large variety of vegetables in almost every meal.
One of my standard meals is some organic chicken and hamburger, with a ton of garlic and onions, beans and a lot of mixed veggies and I even put leafy greens in it like kale and chard, and flavor with taco sauce. it tastes great.
I eat meat as a condiment.
This guy Dr Valtor Longo says that every "blue zone" in the world where people live the longest eat a carb based diet. His goal is a diet that allows a person to live to a 100, healthy.
He says a person should eat a 60/30/10 diet. Carbs, fat (olive oil is best) , protein and fish twice a week.
His new research is what he calls "mimicking fasting" which allows the benefits of fasting without the downside. He uses a five day fast about four times a year and otherwise he says a person should eat a 12/12 fasting, not 16/8, or 18/6 as that causes gall stones in the long run?
The five day fast resets the body and makes major repairs and stimulates stem cell growth.
But the main thing is eating a ton of veggies. The most important ones for preventing cancer being garlic, onions and tomatoes and the cruciferous.
Cheers
