AT&T Shares Jump As Wireless Subscribers Prove To Be A Bright Spot

investors.com

Johnny: On the surface it looks like T was able to add more subscribers than expected without having to compete on price, which would have affect margins. It looks like they did it be providing bundled services that had less of an impact on margins. The subscriber additions exceed those of VZ. The fear when VZ reported was they took subscribers away from T. It looks like that is not happening or the churn rate between wireless service providers is high as people look for deals to the most out of their plans. This does mean Q-Q subscriber adds and unsubscriptions may become significant as the wireless service provider may just be cycling subscribers from one carrier to another base on deals every few years.
